Bivying down for the night

I finally got around to giving my new tent, or bivy to be more precise, a test run on Thursday night down at the beach when myself and a couple of friends bedded down for the night by the sea. Being away from people in China as I’ve previously mentioned is a nigh on impossible and we did draw some rather puzzled looks as we pitched our tents.

There certainly isn’t much room in the Alpine bivy but it did the job and I managed a fairly decent five hours kip, aided of course by the sound of waves crashing on the shore to send me to sleep. Myself and the bivy are certainly going to become much closer acquainted next year.
